Progress report 20SEPT


I'm getting a bit late, not gonna lie. I've finished and tested the first quest additions, I added the horniness bar to the HUD, and I did some writing. Here's what the horniness bar looks like by the way:

So this is basically the HUD's final look. You'll also notice 2 new buttons on the right, right under the money indicator. They're 2 brand new features that will come in 0.5. Let's start with the first one:


This is a small menu that shows your current active tasks, and that's about it. It's even scrollable when there are too many tasks to display and stuff. Fancy.


And the second one is what I would call a "motion detector" menu. The locations that currently have events in them will turn red, so you can know where to go and when.

That's it for the new features. Here's what I currently have for the main menu:


This is the new look for the main menu. Here you can see the new "housemates" tab, where you'll get to see more information about your lovely relatives. It's still very much a work in progress. For example, on this screenshot above there should be a "mood" bar between the character selection and the character description. I had a few issues making it, but I'll get through it eventually :)


This is where the schedule gets displayed. All you have to do to switch menus is to click on the buttons at the bottom right.


Again, a work in progress. There will be a fully functional quest log there. I should be done with it today.

And lastly there will be the usual house menu (although, revamped, obviously) and that one is barely started. But again, it shouldn't take too much time.

So yeah, those are all my imperatives laid out for you. I plan to be done with those improvements (all of them, including finishing the main menu, testing...) by the 25th. After that, I'm fully back in writing mode. And boy do I have a lot to write, still.

I have all the Sheila events (I'm planning on 5 of them right now), then the Eve events (which will run somewhat in parallel with Sheila's events), then the family reunion proposals and their consequences, the new masturbation events for Alice, and I also plan on adding a small introduction for Emily (finally). Oh and also, the events for the school and the communication station with Stanley. That's a lot of work.

Anyway, since I'm planning on writing so many lines for Sheila, I might as well show you what she looks like:


I've actually shown her a few weeks ago to supporters (in a... lighter outfit), but since you guys haven't seen her yet, there you go.
It was actually a bit of a struggle to throw this outfit together. First, I had a very clear about about the jeans I wanted for her. Very tight, high waist jeans, just like you see on the render. Well while I thought those were a popular and trendy type of jeans, there was actually only one asset on the DAZ store with jeans like those, and they were Genesis 9. So I actually wasted a few hours to find out how to convert those Gen 9 pants to Gen 8 compatible pants (Sheila is a Gen 8 model) and honestly I might have lost a whole afternoon over this. But the result was worth it I think.
Then, the top. Same as the pants, that top was very clear in my head. But mostly since I had already seen it somewhere in an other game. I had a lot of trouble finding it on the DAZ store, but Marc_Sibel (you can find him on Discord server under the name "Misarmor's best boy". Yes, you read that right). helped me find it on the DAZ store.Then there was the anticipation to know how it would react to the clothing sim, and honestly, I think it turned out awesome. The perfect blend of casual and slutty.

Lastly, a few people have asked me what her role would be, and it's hard to find a way to describe it without giving too much away. I think a good way to describe it is: she's going to be a good friend of Alice's, and she's going to help her pay for the bedroom renovations. I think that sums it up well.
