Progress report 10MAR

Hello everyone, welcome to the 102nd progress report!

I don't know if you remember, but last time I said that I was going to take a weekend break, take the occasion to do some code, and then work on art again the next Monday. Well, that's not what happened.
Since I made some good progress on the code that same weekend, I decided that I'd keep working on the code until all the quests are implemented. Basically, the goal was to be able to play through the entire update (the main quests at least) without issues.
Thankfully the workload wasn't that bad since the events are already implemented in code, but programming the quest flow, making the buttons, programming the schedule... Those have been a pain in the ass. Everything works and most of it has been tested, so all is good at least.

Additionally, I made some small modifications I think you guys will like...

Here's the new dialogue box, isn't it beautiful?
I've been planning this for a couple weeks actually. I definitely put an accent to art in my game, so having this ominous dark square hiding part of the renders was always a shame. I've modified it several times over the years, making it smaller and less opaque, but this time I decided to go "fuck it" and remove it entirely, and honestly, I'm loving the result. The many new renders of 0.5 will now be enjoyed in their full potential!
Oh, and I'll probably color the name label with a different color for each character, but it's one of those small modifications I'll do at the very end.

An other small modification is that the small "Quest updated" window that slides from the right when you finish a task now only shows the title of the quest you updated, and not the entire label of the task. That's because the task label is usually too big to fit in the window, and that sometimes causes an ugly text overflow. This is useless anyway (I think), since people usually know which task they're about to tackle. And the quick quest log is there to confirm that anyway.

And lastly, the errands are now a 100% optional part of the game. At the end of the very first quest, you're supposed to go to the market with Eve. Now she'll tell you she doesn't mind making herself useful and that she'll go to the market every morning, and you only need to provide the money. 20 bucks a day for now, but that's an amount I came up with on the fly. I might change that number by the time the update comes out after some more testing.
You can still go to the market with her by the way, but it's not mandatory to finish the quest anymore. And Eve will tell you it's a great occasion to buy the milk for your dear sister :).

And one last thing, now some quests will tell you exactly what changes from completing them.

This not only prevents the player from spending too much time finding scenes instead of simply playing them, but it also makes it more pleasant to complete quests, I think.

That's about it for improvements. Now I'm back into art mode, and I hope to finish everything in a timely manner. See you guys in 10 days!
